Shopify development for stores that need to be found, not just built.
Shopify handles payments, tax, stock and checkout so you do not have to, which is why it wins for most stores under a few thousand products. What it does not handle is being found: the default theme structure treats collection pages as navigation rather than as landing pages, and that is where the organic traffic in e-commerce actually comes from. We build stores that pass Core Web Vitals, carry proper product schema, and treat collections as pages worth ranking.
Shopify or WooCommerce
The question every store owner asks first. There is a real answer and it depends on what you sell, not on which one an agency prefers building.
Monthly cost
- Shopify
- Subscription plus transaction fees unless you use Shopify Payments
- WooCommerce
- Hosting only, but you pay for plugins and maintenance
Who maintains it
- Shopify
- Shopify handles security, uptime and PCI compliance
- WooCommerce
- You do, or you pay someone to
Catalogue size
- Shopify
- Comfortable to a few thousand products
- WooCommerce
- Handles large catalogues with good hosting
Customisation
- Shopify
- Constrained, which keeps it fast and stable
- WooCommerce
- Unlimited, which is how sites become slow
Content and SEO
- Shopify
- Good, though the URL structure is fixed
- WooCommerce
- More control, including URL structure
Best when
- Shopify
- You want to sell, not administer a website
- WooCommerce
- You need something Shopify cannot do
If you cannot name the specific thing Shopify will not let you do, Shopify is probably the right answer.
What we build into every store
The parts that decide whether a store earns back what it cost.
Collection pages built to rank
Most shoppers search for a category, not a product. A collection page with a heading, real descriptive copy and sensible filtering can rank; the same page as a bare grid of thumbnails cannot. This is the single biggest difference between a store that gets organic traffic and one that lives on ads.
Product schema
Price, availability and shipping marked up so listings can win rich results with a price shown against them. Without it you are the plain blue link next to competitors showing their price in the results.
Indian payments and tax
Razorpay, UPI, cards and cash on delivery where you need it, with GST configured correctly by product category rather than as one flat rate applied to everything.
Speed on a real phone
Apps are the reason most Shopify stores are slow. Every one adds scripts to every page whether that page uses it or not. We audit what each app costs in load time and remove the ones not earning it.
Checkout that does not lose people
Fewer fields, guest checkout available, clear shipping cost before the final step. Surprise delivery charges at the last screen are the most common reason a full cart is abandoned.
Abandoned cart recovery
Email and where appropriate WhatsApp flows for carts left behind. Usually the highest return automation in a store, and one of the few that keeps paying with no ongoing cost.
Analytics that survive ad blockers
Server-side events alongside the browser pixel, so your revenue reporting is not quietly understated and your ad platforms can optimise on real purchase data.

-
Catalogue and structure first
How many products, how they group into collections, and which of those collections people actually search for. This decides the site structure, and changing it after launch means redirects and lost rankings.
-
Design against the catalogue
Templates designed around your real products and real photography, not a demo store with placeholder images that falls apart when eleven variants arrive.
-
Build and integrate
Theme development, payment and shipping setup, tax rules, apps only where they earn their load cost, and product data imported and checked.
-
Collections, schema and the product feed
Collection pages written to answer real searches instead of left as a bare grid, product schema so a listing can carry price and availability, and a Merchant Center feed that validates before launch rather than after the first rejection.
-
Test and launch
Test transactions through every payment method, on real devices. Analytics, Search Console and conversion tracking live before launch so the first week of data is usable.
-
Hand over
Training on adding products, running discounts and reading the reports. You should not need us to put a product live.
What it costs
A Shopify build runs from ₹60,000 to ₹2,50,000 depending on catalogue size, how many integrations you need and whether product photography and copy exist already. Shopify’s own subscription is separate and paid directly to them. Full ranges for every service are on the pricing page, and the wider platform question is covered on e-commerce solutions.
How much does a Shopify store cost in India?
Between ₹60,000 and ₹2,50,000 for the build, with most standard catalogues landing in the lower half of that. What moves the number is the number of products, whether you have photography and descriptions ready, and how many systems the store has to talk to. Shopify’s monthly subscription is on top and paid to Shopify.
Can you migrate our existing store to Shopify?
Yes, from WooCommerce, Magento, Wix or a custom build. The part that matters most is the redirect map: every old product and category URL needs to point at its new home or you lose the rankings you already have. That is the step most migrations skip and then cannot explain the traffic drop.
Do we need a custom theme or will a paid one do?
A good paid theme is a perfectly sensible starting point and we will say so rather than sell you a custom build you do not need. Custom is worth it when your product needs a buying experience the theme cannot express, or when the theme has become so heavily modified that a purpose-built one would be faster and cheaper to maintain.
How many apps should a store have?
As few as possible. Each one loads scripts across your whole store, and a store with twenty apps is usually a slow store with twenty subscriptions. We audit what each one costs in load time against what it earns and remove the rest.
Will the store show up on Google?
It will be built so it can: crawlable structure, collection pages worth ranking, product schema, fast on mobile. Actually ranking for competitive product terms takes ongoing work, which is ((SEO|/seo-services/)) rather than development. Anyone who tells you a new store ranks on launch is describing something that does not happen.
