Who these terms are between
These terms are between you and Dice Codes, registered address and business registration number. Where we say “we” or “us” we mean Dice Codes. Where we say “you” we mean the person or business using this website or engaging our services.
Using this website
You may read, print and share pages from this site for your own use. You may not copy the site design, its code or its written content for commercial use without permission. The content here is offered in good faith and kept current, but it is general information rather than advice about your particular situation.
Quotes and engagement
What we need from you
Most delays on a project come from waiting rather than from building. We will need content, images, logins and timely feedback at the points set out at the start of the project. If material is outstanding for more than 30 days, we may pause the project and schedule it again when you are ready, which can affect the timeline.
Payment
Ownership of the work
Once a project is paid for in full, the design, the content we wrote for you and the custom code built for your project are yours. Third party components keep their own licences: WordPress, its themes and plugins, open source libraries and stock imagery remain governed by the licence they came with. We keep the right to describe and show the work in our portfolio unless you ask us in writing not to.
What we can and cannot promise
We will do the work described in the quote to a professional standard, and fix faults in what we built. We cannot promise particular search rankings, particular traffic or particular sales, because those depend on search engines, competitors and markets that nobody controls. Any agency that does promise them is describing an outcome it cannot deliver.
Liability
Our liability in connection with any project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profit, lost data or lost business opportunity. Have this clause checked. Limitation of liability is the clause most likely to be unenforceable if it is drafted carelessly.
Ending a project
Either of us may end a project in writing. If you end it, work completed up to that point is payable. If we end it, we will refund anything paid for work not yet done. Monthly services can be cancelled with 30 days notice, and your accounts, data and access stay yours.
Privacy and data
How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of state the jurisdiction, normally the city where the business is registered have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in force for your project is the one published when your quote was accepted. Add the effective date and keep it current.
Questions about any of this
Ask before you sign rather than after. We would rather explain a clause than argue about it later.
